1. Full time employment plus potential overtime. Employees are paid at an hourly rate plus time and one-half for overtime hours worked.
2. Work weeks can vary from 5-8 hour days to 4-10 hour days for the  employee’s regular schedule.

Job Opening Details

Diesel Mechanic
Mars, PA
Vogel Disposal is seeking a heavy truck diesel mechanic to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain heavy diesel trucks.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Assess, diagnose, and repair heavy diesel and light trucks.

- Typical repairs include but are not limited to: hydraulic, fuel, exhaust, brake, suspension, and electrical systems.

- Perform preventative maintenance.

- Able to follow written and verbal instructions.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

- Minimum 1 years experience troubleshooting and repairing problems with heavy diesel trucks or graduate of Trade School Program.

- Employees must provide their own safety-approved work boots.

- Employees must provide their own tools and locking tool box.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

- Ability to sit/stand, walk, climb, bend/twist, crouch/crawl, and push/pull required.

- Ability to lift/carry upwards of 50 lbs. for short distances.
